UBC Standard 27-10 if the 1994 UBC, Specification for the Design of
Cold-formed Stainless Steel Structural Members was based on a document by
the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), 1101 17th Street, NW,
Washington D.C. 20036. [I don't have their phone or web address.] A
similar document, with commentary, is available from AISI for cold-formed
steel structural members, and has been incorporated into the 1997 UBC by
reference.

The 1997 UBC also refers to the ANSI/ASCE 8-90 document that Scott
referenced.
