Online Professional Development Hours

Anybody using online resources to obtain annual PDHs? I got this email from
a group providing online courses. Looks like you read about a subject, take
a quiz over the internet, and if you pass they email you a certificate.

Are these recognized by the various states as being valid? Seems like they
would be, but I haven't tried it before.
