Mr.Gerard, well thats right, its time consuming & expensive... How come "Bind"?? What bind you mean?? Is it XREF-BIND??You should keep in mind that, when u transfer an External reference file? You have to copy both the files, Current dwg, & Xref file.
Well any person can bind & explode it with in a sec.. Well no solution it seems! Password option is a dangerous method!Drawings are very valuable thing! some times it cost you millions if you lost the password!:)

I know of no way to do this other than using Bind. Bind makes things difficult to work with, but it only takes patience to alter any cad file to some desired final product even if the source file was bound in ACAD.A good tool for autocad to develop would be a "Password to modify" save option like in Microsoft Word.-Gerard Gerard Madden, P.E.
