Yes, Howard Silverman from Covert Adhesives e-mailed me privately also
suggesting Mel and Jim Hill. I will contact them later. Although I know they
are on the list, I don't know how often they check the messages or
participate. Both are busy I am sure, but it is worth the call.
One caution, although we post these well known engineers on this discussion,
I don't want any of them to feel under obligation to help. While we do need
someone with experience, I understand how busy offices such as Mel's and
Jim's are in a wide variety of work. It is not unreasonable to assume that
they are too committed to other clients to participate.
While I thank everyone for their suggestions, I suggest you write me
privately so we don't unknowingly pressure another engineer into
participating beyond their capacity.

I reported this morning that Mike Krakower, SE had suffered a heart
yesterday. I spoke with his Mother-in-law this morning and he is
doing well. He was transferred to Huntington Hospital in the San

Department for the historic retrofit of the Pio Pico Mansion in

me to help. Nels is inundated with work and I am not qualified to

We would appreciated it if anyone on the listservice with extensive
experience in Adobe and Historic building retrofits can help with
project until Mike is able to take over. Nels has agreed to provide
consultation to another SE who might be willing to take
the onsite investigation and putting together the needed details and
construction observation documents.

Like many of us, Mike is a small one person office. We have a
