Agreed. There's nothing wrong with them. They just can't be used for most
of the structures
they're intended to be useful for. We need something a bit better.

There is nothing wrong with AISC K-factors for tapered members in Appendix
(including Commentary), however, those are of limited use to metal building
systems manufacturers because of three assumptions/requirements stated at
the beginning of Appendix F. <
