Angie has the right idea.  PowerPoint reads many, many file formats and, if it's a windows program, you almost always can use the COM interface (what Angie described).  We've used it for all sorts of programs, i.e. spreadsheets, databases, org charts, drawings, rendered 3D views.  You can also use cut & paste, which may be easier.  Select the graphics in AutoCAD, cut it, then go to edit in PowerPoint and select Paste Special.   (Correction, PowerPoint now automatically creates the link to the other program if it does COM objects which AutoCAD does.)
