Re: Lifting Devices

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
I had a situation where a client had fabricated their own lifting device
that was mounted on one of their forklifts and was used for lifting empty

They then decided they needed the device "approved". Rather than try to
justify it with numbers, we conducted a proof test by lifting and moving a
tank filled with water. The total weight was well in excess of twice the
weight of the empty containers.

This worked well for this individual device. It may not work so well if you
have a large number of them.

Subject: Lifting Devices

An industrial facility is asking us to review their lifting bales, hooks and
other lifting devices.

Please advise where I can find load factors for these types of elements.
