[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next] The 1996 BOCA, paragraph 1014.1.1 requires a maximum slope of the walking
surface of stair treads and landings to be "one unit vertical in 48 units
horizontal."  

The BOCA code (para. 1016.3) also limits the slope of means of egress ramps
to 1:12 with exceptions for certain overall rises.  Maximum slope across the
ramp is 1:48.  Paragraph 1016.4 requires landings on ramps under certain
specified conditions.

I don't know if any of this applies or helps.  We still have lots of places
using BOCA here.
