RE: TEDDS

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
I recently talked to a TEDDS representative at the steel conference in Fort
Lauderdale. I was concerned with the graphing capability of the software.
He couldn't tell me anything to make me comfortable with its capabilities.
Seems as though you have to do some sort of interface with EXCEL. That
wasn't what I wanted to hear, plus the price is too high for my wallet
(remembering I'm an engineer doing structures).

On the other hand I was trying to graph two functions on the same axes on
Mathcad and couldn't. Anyone out there know how to do it?

I can tell you this:

$950 bucks is just TOO MUCH.

If I can get full-fledged Mathcad Professional for less than $200, then
TEDDS' price point is WAY out of line. And don't hand me that "but it does
so much more" stuff. That isn't the point. If I can get done what I need to
get done with something that costs less than one-third, that's the way I'm
going to go.

Heck, I think Enercalc is too much.
