RE: Salt Lateral Bin Pressures

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Well, you can find the density in AISC. So wouldn't you just do, like, an analysis using something like Coulomb's Theory for a "granular soil"? Would the angle of internal friction be something like 30 deg.?

I'm a lot of help, I know. I'll shut up now.

Subject: Salt Lateral Bin Pressures

I am working on a salt storage building.  Anyone have a good reference for the lateral pressure exerted on a bin by a heaped mass of salt?
