JJ-
You don't say which fluid but for water tanks try:
AWWA D-100-96 for welded steel tanks
AWWA D-103-97 for bolted steel tanks
AWWA D-110-95 for wire or strand wrapped prestressed concrete tanks
AWWA D-115-95 for prestressed concrete tanks with circumferential tendons
These can be ordered from AWWA at: www.awwa.org

API has similar provisions for petroleum product storage.

Subject: HIGH TANK

Hi Colleagues,
I am about to design a high water tank. I would like to know if there's a
simplified method to do it. I mean like an equivalent static method to take
into account the effects of hydrodynamic preassure that acts on the walls of

the tank or the liquid-basin interaction. Any suggestions?

By the way, can anyone recommend me a good reference for this kind of
structures?

Thank you,

JJ
