RE: transportation (was "how's your computer")

Got me a jeep with 190,000 miles.  oh it is a 1987 Wrangler.  I can't part with it because everything I treasure is somewhere in that car.  When I need to find something I just hit the brakes real hard and it magically slides out from under the seat.  The other day I had to brake for a possum crossing the road and my old slide rule slid out.  Some times when I have certain people in the car I am afraid to hit the brakes for fear of what might slide out.

I have a 91 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4  v6 that I really love. Bougth it used with 90k miles after graduation in 1998. No problmes yet and it looks good inside and out. I keep thinking of buying the dream BMW sport car, but I can not give up my 4x4.

Keep 4 wheeling....

I've got a 91 Nissan 4x4 V6 that I love.  Bought it used with 60K miles right after graduation in 1993.  Has 143,000 miles now and the paint looks like crap (no UV inhibitor in the clearcoat I've been told).  It hasn't given me a bit of grief.  I keep dreaming about a sport ute, but just can't stand the thought of parting with my truck.  Maybe with a new coat of paint....

Roger,

I enjoy, and learn a lot from, all of your great posts, but the last one really made me feel good.  I love pickup trucks, and drive one, too.  It's interesting to know how popular are these among our fellow engineers.  Which cars do we prefer, anyway?
