Found in APA's "Plywood Design Specification," Section 1.4.1:

"...  The numbers on the right side of the slash shows the maximum spacing 
for floor supports, again under average residential loading.  (Maximum 
allowable uniform loads vary, but all are 100 psf or more.  Strength is 
adequate to carry heavy concentrated loads such as pianos, home freezers, 
water heaters, etc.)  ... "
