Presented by Thomas A. Sabol, Ph.D., S.E., this seminar will familiarize you with the latest provisions on the use of steel in building structures in high-seismic applications, including the new FEMA 350 Guidelines, and the AISC Seismic Provisions with Supplement No. 2.

Fundamentals of Connection Design
For those of you interested in learning more about the art and science of connection design, this 7-hour seminar developed by Thomas M. Murray, PhD, PE, will provide you with the practical knowledge you need. Whether you design connections or evaluate the connections that are shown on shop drawings, this course will help you understand the fundamentals of connection design, including bolting, welding, and connecting elements. This class will also give you insight into the design of shear, moment, bracing, and other connections used in steel structures. Speakers will vary from location to location, but will be selected experts throughout the US in the field of connection design.
