Glass block per IBC 2000

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Section 2110 of IBC 2000 covers glass block. A few questions that have come
up in interpreting this section:

1. Section 2110.2 appears to only allow two thicknesses of glass block
units. Are thicker glass block units not allowed?

2. Section 2110.3.1 gives size limitations for "exterior standard-unit
panels", Section 2110.3.3 gives size limitations for interior glass-block
panels, and Section 2110.3.4 gives size limitations for "solid glass-block
wall panels". What is the difference between "solid units" and
"standard-unit panels"? Is this referring to a different type of block or
whether the panel has openings in it or not?

3. In Section 21110.4.3.1, what does the term "single unit panels" mean?
