RE: Nigerian Scam - Off Topic

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
I tried the ISP's Spaminator but todate it has screened none of the spam.

In Outlook 98, I set up a hidden folder called "junkmail". As spam arrives
, I set a rule to send future emails to the folder. I search on key works
in the subject line. I try to watch for repeating phrases like "Internet
SIC codes" so as not to redirect good mail. I have noticed that I get the
same email from fictious addresses but the subject does not change.

I understand that spam is generated by computers pumping out addresses at
random and the fact that the email is returned "undeliverable" has no
meaning.

Fellow Engineers,

	We all receive unsolicited and unwanted e-mail not only from Nigeria
but from other sources as well. Does anyone know if it's possible to
set up a subroutine to screen incoming mail for unwanted addresses and
return it identified as "undelivered"?

	That would be nice.
