	Try "Design Criteria for Embedment of Piers" by E Czerniak, Consulting
Engineer, March 1958.

	Although quite old, this method is very fast to use, and quite
conservative.  I would suggest that you try it first and only fall back
on something more sophisticated if Czerniak proves to be uneconomic.
