RE: code require column impact protection in warehouse? -->racks

Except that you will have to dodge the miscellaneous boxes of home
improvement material flying off the shelves (literally).  Of course, the
result is an empty rack installation rattling like cage that will most
likely not collapse under severe excitations.

You guys can try to get my dander up but Peter Higgins convinced me five
months ago that the safest place to be during an earthquake is under one
of his Home Depot storage racks.
