RE: wide format printer

Beware the cost of the toner cartridges.  We have two HP 4MV that are workhorses but the cartridges keep going up in price.

You should look at the HP 4V printers of old. even though they are

discontinued, you could still get one with low print count thru ebay

The printer is bullet proof and does 600dpi, I've had one for years

The newer models are nice with a price to match

Can anyone recommend a wide format monochrome laser printer for CAD work. I think the HP 5100 will do 12x18 if you open up the back to feed the paper. I am looking for a few printers to compare with the HP 5100, but I do not need one that is quite so robust, single user, network not required.

thanks

jeff
