Title: Building Natural Frequency

A few notes that might help on determining Natural frequencies and the system stiffness.

A good starting point if you do not what to derive the formulae is Roark's Formula for Stress and Strain by Warren C. Young

Chapter 15 Dynamic and Temperature Stresses

Another reference is The Finite Elements Method for Engineers, 2nd Edition by K.H. Huebner and E.A. Thornton 1982 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Chapter 2.

For a simple beams the Stiffness k = E*I/(L^3)

The building system is a series of springs in series and parallel to each other.  The stiffness are adding up using the same rules that apply to resistor networks.
