Does anyone know how to consider the effect of crimping in the design of a single steel angle used as a compression member?.Thanks in advance, Arturo Martínez R.Piura, Peru

"Schifflerizing" is used to describe angles that are either re-rolled or brake-pressing angles from 90 deg. to 60 deg. This will produce an angle that appears to be crimped. Further information can be found in the article "Design Strength of Schifflerized Angle Struts" by Adluri and Madugula, AISC Engineering Journal, 2nd Qtr, 1991.
