Around here, standard practice is to add strapping to the discontinuous rafters (over the ridge at 90 degrees, not parallel). The sheathing is unblocked (discontinuous) every 4', why the piece of sheathing at the ridge should be a particular problem is a mystery to me. CS16x2' or ST22 at 2' o.c. (or even 4') seems right to me.
