If you're talking stainless sitting on more stainless, that's not such a 
great idea. Stainless on stainless tends to gall. You can use anti-seize 
compounds with stainless fasteners, but that's a short term fix for clean 
environments. You might be able to find some bronze bearings for this, 
but be careful about galvanic corrosion.

You get some pretty interesting problems--whatever happened with the tube 
trailer supports?
