Ring Beams/Ring Girders

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Although terminology is not really standard,  ring beams and ring girders usually refer to a thickening or stiffening of a section of a circular wall or foundation to resist, among other things, outward thrust.

When you analyze ring beams/ring girders, you are usually concerned about things like torsional loading.
