RE: Field Evaluation of Wood Strength in Old Structures

		I do not know about any equipment to measure in situ wood
strength, but I when I open up a wall in my old frame house the piece of
equipment I use on the wood is a vacuum cleaner. :-) There's an awful lot of
rot for something that appears so solid.
