RE: Hospital Kitchens

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
I spoke to our kitchen designer and she mentioned the NFPA.  One issue with Hospital kitchens apparently is keeping the hot food hot to avoid bacteria since much of the food is must be delivered to the patients.

Geryes:   For what specifically are you looking?  I have talked to our Plumbing/Mechanical engineers and they said there are no differences specific to hospital kitchens.  I could not find anything in the 1997 UBC that states the requirements are different for hospitals vs other occupancies.
