David:

Could you give us a "ball park" estimate of the cross section shape?  Also, it is laterally braced, or a flag pole?

Subject: cast iron columns

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I'm looking for a "ball park" guess as to the axial load capacity
Of a 3 1/2" cast iron column 8' feet tall.
