RE: AutoCAD to Pro-E?

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
It can be done, but you will lose a lot of information.  I have only done it once.  IIRC, you can convert to a file compatible with Microstation and then Microstation and Pro-E have a common file format.  I don't recall which format it is, but AutoCAD stopped supporting that format about release 10 or 12.  Do some research on Microstation and Pro-E to see what file formats are supported.

Subject: AutoCAD to Pro-E?

I know nothing about Pro-E.  Can any of you tell me whether it is possible to produce drawings in AutoCAD 2000 format and convert them to Pro-E and if so, what it would take to do this?
Thanks in advance,
