concrete placement near construction

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
A contractor wants to know whether there are any guidelines for the placing of concrete near ongoing construction. For a building that is to be built in Interior Alaska, the contractor wants to cast the concrete grade beams over piles (steel 12" diameter). His idea is that the piles can be installed at one end of the building and the pile driving contactor will work towards the other end. After a [eropd of time and distance, the concrete contractor will cast the grade beams after the pile driving equipment has moved. Is there any standard for the standoff such as 50 feet or some limit on deflections, velocities and accelerations the concrete will experience?
