Re: 4x4 southern pine wood post design

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Ron,

I am not aware of any column capacity tables for sawn lumber (4x4 or
larger). There are some glulam tables available from APA or AITC.

I would suggest trying the WoodWorks Software. Try this link for the demo
version.

http://www.woodworks-software.com/downloads/us.phtml

If this does not work, email me privately and I could run the design on my
version.

Subject: 4x4 southern pine wood post design

Does anyone know where I can find load tables for 4x4 treated wood post
(southern pine)??

I have found load tales for joists and beams (southernpine.org) but can't
seem to locate allowable loads on posts(columns). I have all the values and
equations but don't want to run the numbers if there are tables for this
size.

Thanks.
