RE: LRFD 3rd Edition Manual

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Tia,

There is no channel section with the designation C7X14.5 available. There
is, however, a C7X14.75 available from Gerdau AmeriSteel, North Star Steel
Company, and SMI Steel - Alabama. Shape availability is continually listed
at the Modern Steel Construction website (access directly at
modernsteel.com, or access through aisc.org) or in the January printing of
Modern Steel Construction magazine.

There should not be a C7X14.5 listed in the 3rd Edition LRFD Manual. If
there is a C7X14.5 listed in one of our tables, would you please identify to
me the page on which it appears and I will make sure that it is corrected.

Sincerely,

Chris Hewitt
AISC Staff Engineer

Subject: LRFD 3rd Edition Manual

Greetings,

Does anyone know if C7X14.5 in the 3rd edition manual is a typo and doesn't
exist?

TIA
