RE: Calculating Fire Ratings

Look in volume 3.  There is a standard in there.  I believe it is standard 7-1, but I don't have the book in front of me.  When you find the standard, it contains criteria for calculating capacity during a fire.

Subject: Calculating Fire Ratings

Does anybody know exactly where in the 1997 UBC it allows you to calculate the fire resistance of an exposed structural member such as a glulam or steel beam?
