Da –

I just took the exam and used a number of the Chelapati review manuals.  I thought they were a good combination of reference material and solved examples from past SE exams.  If you’re interested, you can check out their website at:   http://www.cpeinst.com/

I also used Allan William’s “Seismic Design of Buildings and Bridges” which is (I believe) sold through the ICBO website. Lastly, a friend had a review book by Ben Yousefi that had some really good sample problems.  It was really good source of example problems, but probably wouldn’t have been much help during the actual exam.  I’m sure that these are also available somewhere on the web.

Just to warn you, there are a lot of questions asked about the OSHPD and DSA revisions to the California Building Code.  The only way to get a good grip on these to really read, review, and understand these difference in the Code.
