So does St. John’s NL. From our office, one can look down on the harbor and see a perfect circle of gulls sitting on the water waiting for a tasty morsel from the outlet.

So when are you going to invent the sewer treatment plant?

Sorry, Sharlie, I just couldn't help myself :)  (For those of you not in the Northwest, Victoria, BC dumps its raw sewage into the Straight of Juan de Fuca and into Puget Sound)

Okay, I prefer Shania Twain over Celine Dion, but we also provided Alex Trebek, which must count for something.  Oh, yes in the engineering world we also invented:

electron microscope

light bulb

electric range

electric streetcar

tracer bullets

& even really useful stuff like the modern beer carton

Stan stan stan,

I love Canada as much as the next guy, and thanks TO them for Moosehead, the McKenzie brothers eh, and Celine Dion...... But curling! This great and exciting sport is from our Scottish bretheren. And I was close to shooting off my mouth about hockey but after a quick internet search some website claims Nova Scotia invented it so I will give them hockey. But I still think Celine Dion cancels out the positives of hockey. And I am sad to admit it was a Canadian who invented our sport of basketball. But he did so in 'Merica at least.

Have a nice weekend,
