RE: Lateral Deflection of Stucco

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
As a board member of the Steel Framing Alliance in California, there are
current efforts being made for funding the research for cyclic load testing
the capacity of standard 3 coat stucco veneer that is attached to cold
formed steel studs. As information becomes available it will become public
information.
Thanks,

Subject: Lateral Deflection of Stucco

BIA has established a lateral deflection of metal studs supporting a
brick veneer of H/600. Is there a recommended lateral deflection of
metal studs that supports a stucco finish?

Thanks.

Rich
