Subject: Exposed brick on lintel soffit

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
With a 3 core modular brick you can build 2' X 4' brick panels with epoxy coated #3 bars in the cores. Imbed angle iron clips punched to thread over the rebar. With the panel horizontal the free leg of your imbed is horizontal. Weld a series of second clip angles to the structure with vertically slotted holes in the vertical leg. The third loose angle, with horizontal slotted holes in its vertical leg, loose bolts to the welded clip, leaving a horizontal leg that bears the horizontal embed of the precast masonry soffitt panel. . This system allows quick erection of the panels
with final adjustment utilizing the slotted holes.
