[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Title: Message
The WWF has a nominal area of 0.058 square inches for 6" spacing, and the area of a #3 is 0.11 sq., roughly about a 12" spacing each way for the #3 bars.

Sorry, I forgot to give you the grid spacing on the WWF – it’s 6x6/W2.9xW2.9 – this is most commonly used WWF in our area for SOG’s – no expansive soils to worry about, all silty sand – no organics.

Can someone tell me what the equivalent layout is for #3 Fs=40ksi rebar in a 6” thick concrete (f’c=2,500 psi) slab on grade to replace the normal W2.9xW2.9 Welded Wire Fabric?
