I use them in both 8 and 12" walls. The web is placed into the head joint with the flange on the outside of the CMU. There are also headed studs for pullout resistance.

Harold:

DO you use this WT in 8 or 12 " walls ?
Is the flange face up as a "T" in section and does the flange get in the way
of the next course ?
