Surviving Structural Collapse

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Fellow Engineers,

A friend sent me that asking for professional opinion in view of that "impending" earthquake in Southern California (http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/04/15/1081998278993.html?_oneclick_=true).

Generally, appears to be an interesting perspective http://www.mimi.com/mra/emerprep/triangle.htm, and the source looks legit, too http://www.amerrescue.org/.  At the same time, some items - like the warning about the stairs and exterior walls - may raise questions.

What do you think about the structural aspects of the article?
