Steel is galvanized all the time. The AGA (www.galvanizeit.org) has
great information you can use. Their staff is helpful, too.

If you have more specific questions, I'd be happy to help as well,
though they are the experts.

Can anyone tell me if hot-dip galvanizing has any adverse effects on
steel. Does this process in any way effect the allowable yield stress or
modulus of elasticity. Thanks for your comments.
