Doug,
There is nothing precluding all thread in SP-58. They require hanger rods using rolled threads to be threaded the full length, and they do not allow bending "forming" of the threaded areas of rods. Other than that, I can't find any exclusions to all thread.

Harold Sprague

Does anyone know if MSS-SP 58 prohibits the use of all thread rods for
pipe hangers? I.E. does it read"...all hanger rods shall be solid rod
with threads cut at each end only..." kind of thing. Thanks,

Doug Cayko
