Can anyone help me with best ways of rigging up/erection of scaffolding for repair of holes on a wash tank roof which is currently in-service and has an unknown structural integrity of roof trusses (rafters and beams), for personnel to work safely.
This fixed roof tank was built in 1965/66 and NDT test report of year 2000 shows roof plates to be of thickness between 3.4mm to 7.2mm.
Holes on the roof started emerging some two months back and the sizes of the holes are approximately 12 square inches and spread around a quardrant of the roof top. The roof radius is about 110feet and height is about 30feet high from the natural ground level.
Note the key point here is the safety of the personnel working on an unknown roof strength and an in-service wash tank.
