RE: Industrial Strength Reading

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
The last one I did I used an Army / Air Force publication - Concrete Floor
Slabs on Grade Subjected to Heavy Loads
Army TM 5-809-12
Air Force AFM 88-3, Chapt. 15
Dated Aug 1987 - there might be a newer one but I haven't bothered to look.

Subject:	Industrial Strength Reading

I will probably be working on some heavy industrial type building
foundations next year and I would like to know if there are any good
books, magazine articles, etc. I could read over the holiday season in
order to better prepare myself for the work ahead. I envision heavy
press machine types foundations, overhead crane supports, as well as
general industrial use operations. I assume there are many other factors
that need to be considered beyond the typical warehouse type slab and
foundation system. Are there any good texts that address this? How
about magazine articles or conference proceedings?

I appreciate any insight you might have.

Rich
