RE: List Suggestion

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
I have a filter set for that, but the incoming email addess (in your posting's case) that the filter checks was <john(--nospam--at)struct-engr.com>, not <seaint(--nospam--at)seaint.org>. MSF Plus' hotmail site apparently doesn't check and does not provide a check on the "reply-to" address, which is where the seaint address is located. But it does check to see if there is a certain character string in the subject.

And I doubt if Microsoft will fix timely fix it. So a work-around is needed.

I filter mine based on the incoming address. It filters any email with seaint(--nospam--at)seint.org in the recipients address to another folder. I have maybe 1 per month that slips past the net somehow.

Is it possible to have the list server put into the subject a word
surrounded by square brackets, such as "[seaint]", that can be used by email filters to direct incoming mail from the list to a separate folder? Another
email list I belong to ("[tiff]", a list that which addresses graphic
formats) does that and it works very well.
