RE: List Suggestion

Bill

The only options in the MSN Hotmail filters are:

[] have ________ in the subject
[] are from the email address ______________

The second seems to apply only to the "from" address, not the "repy to" address. Postings from the seaint listserver have the poster's email address in the "from", and the list server's email address in "reply to".

I use MSN hotmail mainly because my internet provider includes it in their service for free, including 2 Gigs of email storage space, and it lets me check my email from my work computer during lunch.

Ray, can you set your filter for the "sent to" field instead of the "from"
field?

That's the way mine works.

I have a filter set for that, but the incoming email addess (in your
posting's case) that the filter checks was <john(--nospam--at)struct-engr.com>, not
<seaint(--nospam--at)seaint.org>. MSF Plus' hotmail site apparently doesn't check and
does not provide a check on the "reply-to" address, which is where the
seaint address is located. But it does check to see if there is a certain
character string in the subject.

And I doubt if Microsoft will fix timely fix it. So a work-around is
needed.
