RE: Pole Barns

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Perhaps...

Pole barns are the low-budget structures hand sketched on a napkin by a builder that needs to be signed and sealed by lunchtime.

A post-frame building is the properly detailed and drawn plan set they get back once its designed properly.

The "pole barn" people will take offense if you don't change your
terminology to "post-frame". The National Frame Builders Association at
www.postframe.org publish "Post-Frame Building Design Manual" among
other
things.

Does the pole barn industry have a design standard similar to the MBMA's
Low Rise Building Systems Manual? Where is it available?
