RE: Virtual Work

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Virtual work is an analysis method (aka method of work, dummy, unit-load method) that uses the law of conservation of energy to develop an expression for the deflection at any point of a beam or frame.

There is a good discussion in McCormac's "Structural Analysis", Chapter 18.
