RE: Virtual Work

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
I'm not sure what Linear geometric is. It has been too long since I was
in school. I believe it is only valid in linear elastic because like
most procedures we work with, we stay in the elastic range where the
modulus of elasticity is still valid. Once you go nonlinear the virtual
work equations wouldn't be valid.

thanks for the answer Rich and Christ. does virtual work only apply in
linear elastic & linear geometric?
