RE: Anybody Using SSMA Designations for Call-Outs on Light Gage Structures ?

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
Yes, we do, we are a light gauge steel truss and wall panel manufacturer. It is the correct way, but you get a lot of confused questions from the field. Sometimes, I will put the old way of calling it out in parenthesis so to clear any confusion.

I'd say about 50% of the Engineers here in Anchorage are doing it that way.

Just wanted a quick poll to see if anyone is calling out their light gage members on drawings using the SSMA standard (i.e., 600S162-54) ?

Thanks

Robert
