RE: Who is the EOR?

[Subject Prev][Subject Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next]
So, Ken, did you find a method to measure metal thickness? I have to look
at some sheet piling soon to determine how much thickness is left after
corrosion. It would be nice to find an accurate means of doing this without
bringing on a materials testing lab.

We avoid such situations, and soon, it will be mandated in the code that
there must be a EOR, there can't be multiple engineers with none of them
acting as the EOR.

When someone (Architect, Owner or Contractor) wants to limit a
structural
engineer's work only to a portion of the structural work (such as the
foundations only), then we need to ask who is doing the other structural
design work?

Who has the overall responsibility for all the engineering? How is this
normally determined?
